Danny joined Western Rivers Conservancy in 2012 with nearly two decades of writing, photography and media experience under his belt. He worked as a travel writer for Lonely Planet for over 10 years, writing guides to Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico and several U.S. national parks, while contributing articles and photography to publications around the country. Tired of eating 600-plus meals out a year, he switched to the nonprofit sector, serving as the development and communications director at Child Aid, a Guatemalan literacy organization, before finding his home at WRC.
Danny holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of California at Santa Cruz. When not in the office, he is either fly fishing, hiking, cycling or dragging his daughter off on another camping trip.
